Although the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday blocked the CDC’s federal eviction moratorium, California’s own COVID-19 eviction restrictions will remain in effect through the end of September.
A divided High Court ended the Biden Administration’s eviction ban that took effect Aug. 3 and was slated to last until Oct. 3. This revised moratorium from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention replaced a previous eviction freeze that expired at the end of July.
